Madison Downe

Project Coordinator

Madison is a Project Coordinator at the CCA. Her primary role is supporting the planning and execution of expert assessments in collaboration with the Project Directors. This includes the establishment and coordination of expert panels, event and logistics management, and organizing experts and stakeholder participation throughout the assessment process. Additionally, she contributes to the report development and coordinates the peer review, final production, and dissemination of reports.

Prior to joining the CCA in 2017, Madison worked as a student for Parks Canada for six years at the Prince Edward Island National Park, initially in Heritage Communication. She worked at various historic sites including Province House and Green Gables Heritage Place, and then in Resource Conservation, where she participated in ecological sampling and monitoring projects.

She has a B.Sc in Environmental Science for Mount Allison University and did graduate work in Geography at the University of Guelph. Madison also currently volunteers at the Canadian Museum of Nature with their Botany in Action program in association with the National Herbarium of Canada.

While at the CCA, Madison has worked on the Older Canadians on Move assessment and the Medical Assistance in Dying assessments.
